Sea-Land
Artists collective for movement
Sea-Land is a site-specific work that was created for the old Jaffa port and drew its inspiration from the sea.
Together with 12 dancers, two musicians and a costume designer, the participants create a magnifying glass to the depths of the sea and the human environment of the port.
The piece stimulates the passers-by to slow down the urban life pace and walk into an aquatic magic of movement, sound and scenery, that calls attention to the beauty of the sea, its living creatures and the peace that is the inner ocean.
Sea-Land invites the passers-by to observe a live exhibition in which the performers represent various characters who are known in the port’s landscape. Afterwards, the performers gathered in the central square where they invited the spectators to dance together, and finally held hands in a long human line and watched the sunset
